Flowers w 2 rounded "wings" (petal-like sepals) & 3 petals forming a tube w/o a fringe at the tip, per Atlantic Coastal Plain Wildflowers (Nelson, 2006).

Flowers larger than those of our other Milkworts, even so the spread wings only about 15mm across, per Wildflowers of the Sandhills Region (Sorrie, 2011).
